Governor Walz’s daily briefings were a life raft for the people of Minnesota during the early days of the Covid pandemic.

Yes! I have a giant list of all the Senate offices on my homepage if it's helpful. The House ones can be found on House.gov if you type in your zip code in the upper right-hand corner. I'm working on some tips for calling representatives. I should have that out tomorrow!

Angus King, independent Senator from Maine, should be a part of something like this. Listen/read his comments on the senate floor as Hegseth’s nomination was still in consideration. Mr. King is willing to speak about honor, oaths, commitment and the Constitution and he does so eloquently.

Just brilliant, I hope they are seeing this. I feel it would need to be balanced, and not just “bashing the opposition”. It should include equal amounts of information about what the Democrats are doing, and their plans going forward. Ideally linking to a website that shows the full text, and the “supporting data”.

It’s also exactly what they should have been doing for the last four years, to ensure The People knew what had really been achieved.

I just wrote to the new chairman of the DNC asking for a daily newsletter to Dems along the lines of this is what you can Do for our cause today. Campaigns for candidates sometimes ask for help, instead of just money, money, money, all the time, but between elections money is all Dems ask us for.

I’m trying to write at least one email a day to my representatives in Congress. It would be great do this as part of a unified force. And I would gather my friends and neighbors to participate.

Why in the world are “they” not already doing this????? It leaves so much room for the unknown to grow into something none of us want. To be fair some are trying but c’mon it’s not enough for what is happening

How do we get Democratic leaders to do this? Does anyone have insight, besides calling their offices?

I wish we could email this to our representatives! I will call with this idea, and maybe we can tag AOC on another platform? Anyone on this platform we can tag?!

I hope this will get forwarded to the people who would do this. And the idea works together and coordinates with the Shadow Cabinet idea, since clearly the Shadow Cabinet needs to put its alternate vision out publicly.

An excellent idea. It will help raise the profile of members of Congress going into the midterms and showcase younger talent in the Democratic Party. It should also bring in guests, the experienced "experts" that would make up the shadow cabinet--former cabinet secretaries and agency heads paired with rising stars.
